“Hempz Exotic Green Tea & Asian Pear Body Moisturizer is a body care line built around fresh botanicals and lasting hydration. This personal 3D project focused on bringing that freshness into a single frame: a full-size pump bottle and its travel-size companion, set against a soft sage gradient. The goal was to make the pair feel calm, natural, and cohesive, using a tonal green palette that carries from the packaging into the backdrop, with the pear illustration as the only touch of color.”
Project Overview
This personal project set out to show how a full body care range could be visualized as one cohesive family. The brief I set myself was to render Hempz Exotic Green Tea & Asian Pear in two sizes, a full-size pump bottle and its travel companion, so that the freshness of the formula read instantly. The project covered a satin material finish, a low-angle composition, and a tonal sage palette that carries from the packaging into the backdrop, built to hold up across campaign, e-commerce, and social formats.
Challenge
The challenge was making a pale, tonal scene feel premium without letting it go flat. The sage bottles, the backdrop, and the ledge all sit in the same narrow green range, so there is little color contrast to separate the product from its surroundings. Light and edge definition had to do that work instead. On top of that, the full-size bottle and the travel bottle had to read as one family, with matching satin finishes and consistent lighting, while the smaller label text stayed legible and the pear illustration remained the one accent of color.
